UPDATED - Postmaster Joe took care of the issue and now the carrier delivers larger parcels to my door as they are supposed to do. Thanks Joe! This Jacksonville, OR post office doesn't understand the concept of delivery. Large parcels are out for delivery on a given day but, they don't fit in the community box. The carrier leaves a note to pick up at Post Office. I go to the PO and the package is not there, it is riding around with carrier. Parcel is delayed a day, more on weekends, as I have to return to the PO to get parcel. The carrier is 30 seconds from my house when at the community boxes. Seems simple for the carrier to complete the delivery versus putting it off on the customer. The PO is being paid to deliver packages by the customers. It is not right to have the customer complete the delivery at their additional cost and time. Ever since Tom left as postmaster, the "service" from the Jville PO is crap! I avoid using USPS whenever I can.
