- SBSimon BullardMar 30, 20261.0Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story. I have a small business mailbox at the UPS store at 2852 Willamette St. in Eugene. Today I went in to pick up a birthday gift for my mom. Which I had shipped to my address, that way no one could steal her gift off the porch. When I got too the store, I opened up my mailbox and took out the paperwork for the package. After handing the over the paperwork to an employee she handed me my mom’s gift. She then immediately slapped her hands down onto to the package and proceeded to pull it back to her. I was in literal shock. I then tried to get her to explain and justify how I cannot pick up her gift. She said my mom has to come in herself with two forms of ID just to receive the gift! I happen to be my mom’s caregiver, who is legally blind and does not drive! This makes it all that more difficult. I said this is incredibly frustrating and that this particular UPS is very hard to deal with. Then the employee proceeded to get verbally rude with me , belittling me. The employee then said I could just cancel my box. How rude. I’m definitely changing my UPS location now. By the way all this was happening right in front of the boss. And she said nothing the whole time. I am appalled by the treatment and incredibly unimpressed by this UPS store. That is not how you run a business!
