  I am thrilled with the service I received at BrainWave Computers. I had an old external hard drive that died about 10 years ago. I’ve tried several times over the years to retrieve files off of it. Luckily, I had duplicates of most of them. I recently realized that I was missing one very important file. I couldn’t find a trace of it on any other device and I knew exactly where the original file was and I needed/wanted it. I did a little research and ended up at BrainWave. For what I thought was a reasonable price they said they could retrieve the files. They were quite confident they would be able to extract everything on my device but, of course, no guarantee. In which case it wouldn’t cost me anything. No retrieval, no charge. Yes! One week later they notified me in the evening that they were able to recover all the files on my hard drive and were copying it over to a thumb drive and I would be able to pick it up the next day. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see the missing files I was hoping for. Most of it was duplicates of things I still had, but there were a couple of others that I didn’t expect. Bonus. Thank you so much to the guys at BrainWave!

  They were extremely helpful and even though I had heard the price of the part I was looking for wrong over the phone, the dude still hooked me up. Not many places out there that would do something like that! I'll definitely be coming back for any other parts I might need in the future.

  It was recommended to try BrainWaves after my son dropped his laptop and the screen cracked. The drop off process was straightforward, the individuals assisting were friendly, kept me informed throughout the process and they offered me great advice. The only reason I did not rate five stars was primarily because once the diagnostics were ran and they informed me of the pricing to get the repairs done and I said great let’s go ahead and move forward they relayed that I had to pay in advance for the screen and labor, which was fine, however they were unable to take payment over the phone and I don’t believe they keep cards on file when you pay for the diagnostics initially, so I had to go back out there and pay then a few days later go pick it up. I wish they would have informed me of the procedure (d/o and pay diagnostic fee, come in store to pay in advance for repairs/labor if going forward, then p/u product when completed) when a) I emailed them prior inquiring about repairs b) at drop off so I didn’t feel caught off guard. I am sure this is done for several reasons and it’s a smart business move to prevent revenue loss, both with purchasing product and labor, but it was inconvenient not knowing in advance. Will I go back if future repairs or services are needed? 100%
