  This location used to do a rewards program for recycling batteries, but when I went there they told me that the rewards program had been cut, and there is now a $2.99 fee for recycling batteries (many kinds of them that they do not take when they used to take any kind of battery) unless you buy any battery there, which are double the price of some other retailers once I checked. I will not be doing any more battery recycling here since Batteries + Bulbs offers recycling for free unless you have any punctured lithium battery, which they charge a $15-something recycling fee for.

  My wife and I needed to sign up for TSA precheck and using Clear, we were advised to go to this Staples, the one on I240 or to the airport. We live in Edmond so without parking at the airport to go in, we chose the Yukon location since it was the closest. The website said they close at 9 pm and no appointments were necessary so we went right after work, 45 minute drive. When we arrived, approximately 6 pm, the store was poorly staffed and no one at the service counter for repairs, copies and TSA. After a few minutes of standing at the abandoned counter I made my way to the TSA sign and noticed they had hours posted to do TSA precheck. They stop at 5 pm. Although i wish their website had mentioned this we returned home determined to return the following day before 5 as I had a flight coming up in a few weeks. The following day I returned at 3:30. Agains the counter was abandoned but after standing there several minutes someone approached and asked if I needed help. I told him i needed to complete TSA precheck and he told me he would go get the tsa person. A few minutes later a young lady approached and asked if I had an appointment. I told her I didn’t but their website said I didn’t need one. She told me that they were short handed and that she could take the 10-15 minutes it takes to complete the process as she had to operate a cash register. I told her that this was my second trip in as many days, 3 hours of driving and asked if there wasn’t any way she could complete the process. She said she couldn’t and I needed to make an appointment for the next day and that I should have called first. She was rude, insisting that I was the one that was at fault and never apologized. I even said “surely you can understand how frustrated I am for driving all this way twice and still not get my paperwork done and update the website so it says until 5 and to call first to see if the store is adequately staffed.” She said “the website is for all the sites (3 locations, 2 of them Staples and the other is the airport) and the information is not incorrect”. I went from there to the airport, parked in the garage, walked upstairs and finished the process with a very nice, helpful and professional young lady. I’ll never go back to the Yukon Staples for any reason
