The communication, and schedule is a major issue.
We were supposed to do an “early” closing before we moved out of state. Was very grateful they were willing to do this.
Well, they failed to schedule it after I had sent emails REMINDING them.
Then, that opportunity had up and gone, so we planned to do an online notary for signing.
I emailed after that was put into motion, never heard anything or a date and time.
Today, I get a call saying we need to do the online closing TODAY. To me, to never call or email back until day of and want to schedule something is absurd.
Then, we get on the call and it had been nothing but issues. After multiple issues with login on “proof”, we finally got in. We wait, and wait and wait. Then we end up getting logged back in.
Then, it denies my wife’s “identity check”.
So, now we have to do the closing tomorrow. Which is wild because the woman who called me today said today was the only option.
I hope First American, gets their stuff figured out. This has been an awful experience.
On top of the stress of selling the house, this has caused much extra stress that could have been avoided had they got me in before we moved states.
