BARBIE PLASTICDOLL
Jul 27, 2026
I visited the Elm Road location to return an item. I was next in line when two women walked in front of me. I politely let them know that I was next, but they insisted they should go first because they already had their return packaged. I responded that the line should be first come, first served and that I had been waiting first.
At that point, an employee named Elijah H. began yelling at me. He told me he "would not take my crap" and that he was going to help the other customers instead, despite the fact that I had been waiting first. He scanned my return label, then crumpled it up and threw it away, which may prevent me from completing my return since the QR code had already been scanned.
Elijah then pointed at the door, screamed at me to get out of the store, and continued yelling in my face. I never raised my voice or behaved aggressively. I simply asked if he was seriously asking me to leave because I had spoken up after being cut in line. During his outburst, he also stated that he was "not a slave," even though I had never said anything remotely suggesting that.
Trying to de-escalate the situation, I asked another employee, a woman with facial piercings, if she could assist me instead. She said she did not want to get involved.
I was completely humiliated in front of multiple customers. In fact, another customer waited outside after I left to tell me how unnecessary and unprofessional the employee's behavior had been.
I am extremely disappointed by how I was treated. No customer should be screamed at, publicly humiliated, or have their return interrupted simply for expecting the line to be handled fairly. I would appreciate this incident being investigated, as well as assistance in ensuring my return can still be processed.
