I have lived at my home in Trenton for over 15 years, and during that entire time I have regularly parked my SUV in front of my house without any issues receiving mail. However, over the past year, our mail carrier has repeatedly refused to deliver our mail. I have had the post office manager come to my home on two separate occasions to inspect the mailbox and determine whether there was any issue. Both times, I was told there were no problems with the mailbox and that the manager would speak with the carrier. Despite those conversations, the problem has continued. For the past six months, mail delivery has been inconsistent. Some days the carrier delivers our mail, and other days he simply does not. Each time this happens, I have to call the post office to report it. I was initially told that the new van mail vehicles required 15 feet of clearance in front of the mailbox. I made sure there was at least 15 feet of space available. Now I am being told that this is no longer the issue. In fact, I recorded one occasion where the carrier acknowledged there was enough room to deliver the mail, yet the very next day he claimed there wasn’t enough space and again refused delivery. But yet nothing has changed with our vehicles. I am not asking anyone to go above and beyond or make special accommodations. I am simply asking that my mail be delivered consistently, just as it has been for the past 15 years. This ongoing situation has caused important mail to be delayed, and it has become extremely frustrating. I do not believe I am asking for anything unreasonable. Reliable mail delivery is a basic service that every resident should be able to expect. I have also learned that I am not the only customer experiencing these issues. I respectfully ask that this matter be addressed so that mail delivery to my home becomes consistent and reliable. Something needs to change. No customer should have to repeatedly call the post office just to receive the mail they are entitled to. It’s frustrating and exhausting to continuously deal with this when nothing has changed on our part in the last 15 years.

Terrible, horrible post office. I was waiting for a very important piece of mail. I got an email from Informed Delivery that it would be arriving on Thursday. Thursday came and no mail was received. Friday was a holiday so I waited for Saturdays mail and still I didn’t receive my important piece of mail. I went to the post office to inquire and they told me to wait until Monday. I waited until Tuesday and still didn’t receive it. So, I went back and gave them my contact information. I received a call from someone who worked at the bank. He never told me what his title was. He basically told me that Informed Delivery messed up all the time. I have never had an issue with informed delivery before in the past 3 years that I’ve used it. Then he told me that the issue is now between me and the BMV as if it wasn’t the postal service who lost my mail. To be honest, I truly think it was stolen by the mail carrier. I think he thought it was a credit or debit card and he stole it. Now I’m stuck paying a second time for my driver’s license because the USPS in Trenton is incompetent. I don’t even trust them with my mail anymore. Thinking about getting a P.O. Box in another post office, in another town.

They stuffed my package in my Mailbox with my regular mail. This isn't the first time this has happened
