This facility is a poster child of government inefficiency and waste. The last 4 times I have been here to simply drop off some priority mail pieces (I have already packaged everything and had the prepaid labels affixed) I had to wait in line for 20 minutes because their self service parcel drop off door was "out of order". This drop off door has been "out of order" for several months - how long does it take to fix a drop off door and if it takes several weeks to get parts to fix the door why didn't someone over there come up with an alternative process that allowed people to drop off their prepaid express, priority & media mail parcels so they didn't have to wait in line for 20 minutes to simply drop off their prepaid parcels? Maybe the self service drop door has finally been fixed, but I'll bet the drive up service window hasn't been- that thing has been "out of service" for several years now and it will probably never be reopened because they can't source the parts they need to fix that either. I truly hope that the drop off service is restored soon. When it was in operation the Fairfield Post Office was my go to place to drop off my prepaid parcels because the drop box was open 24/7/365 which was super convenient for me. Now that it's gone it's simply a source of irritation and frustration that made me shake my head the last four times I visited the place. I can understand it being down for a week but a couple of months? That's unacceptable.

This place is a joke. The wall chute is always jammed because people are too lazy to clear the boxes on the other side. The bell on the wall might as well be a sign that says, "Ring here if you want to get even more frustrated," because no one ever comes. Your only option is to stand in line and wait 30 minutes for service. I would give it negative if I could. The carries on my route are great though if not for them I would never us USPS again all the issues are the managers and the people that work in the building.

Shouldn’t be surprised that a government ran institution sucks at what they do. The drivers never drop my packages, but they drop others in the same building. Our buildings mailbox is broken (thanks Duke Energy) want they won’t fix it until it falls. Only two workers there even know how’s to give good customer service. 0 stars if that was possible.

Very hard to find a parking spot as they are doing construction. It will probably be very nice when it's done. Workers are very friendly.
