I came after official closing hours to print off 11 package labels and was a bit stressed as it was my first time printing so many and didn't want to get them mixed up. To add onto my stress, the package drop off thing was broken so they had to use a cart where in my mind I was thinking about the logistics to wake up early and get to the post office before work.
Then came Dan who was incredibly kind who mentioned I could finish up and then knock on the door and if he was still there, he would take my packages so that I didn't have to make a separate trip. He checked in on my politely inbetween to make sure I was ok and not struggling, probably because I looked pretty nervous.
After I was done printing off all the labels and doing my double check I didn't put 2 of the same labels on the same thing, I knocked at the door and Dan quickly came and opened it up. Kindness to strangers is sadly on the rarer side nowadays, but he was genuinely kind and went purposefully out of his way to help a stranger with no reward/gain, he could have just ignored me and went on with his day, but he did not -- we need more human beings like Dan.
THANK YOU DAN! :)

I have been meaning to do this but I am always shipping things out at the USPS in Hyde Park and Dan is the just the sweetest thing to exist. I've been in there with no line or long line and his energy is just unmatched! So helpful and patient! Dan needs a shoutout:)

Yesterday I went to the Oakley USPS to mail a small package. As I began to write my name, address and who the package was going to I began having trouble writing. So, I took the package up to the counter and asked the representative named Dan if he had a label I could use since my handwriting isn’t very legible. He responded by reassuring me that he could read what I wrote and told me what it said. He also told me that whenever I come back in to the post office and am having any issues he will take care of me. That gave me a great sense of peace. I thank God he was very supportive.

For over 30 days the agent named Dan or Daren consistently told me he wasn't sure how to refund my full amount due to me as a customer but yet every time I came to office he acted like he could help basically stringing me along a path of lies and misinformation so I would never recommend this location due to complete negligence and being unprofessional.Pathetic agent simple.
