Absolute horrendous experience. My mom this early morning needs to deliver some essential mail, her English is lacking in some part, so she needs the person to explain a bit more. However, the Asian curly hair lady decided to run her mouth about how my mom is taking up her time. So unprofessional and rude! We told her it’s her job to treat each customer with respect, but she just act like that’s not part of her responsibility? Please fire this person, every other customer there agrees with me on how she’s toxic and unprofessional.

If zero was an option I'd have selected it. I encountered by far one of the rudest and most belligerant postal employees at my recent visit to the post office located at 27 W 60th St, New York, NY 10023. I went to drop off a pre labeled package and went to put it in the designated area. I thought there was one of the small white postal bins on the floor where I couldn't see it. Only after it slid down the counter ramp did I realize nothing was there and it landed on the floor unintentionally. An older Asian female employee came back and yelled and cursed at me. She only escalated after I told her there was no need to yell at me and I thought one of the small bins was there. She proceeded to say she wasn't yelling and got louder and more nasty and called me an expletive. I truly hope she doesn't do anything to the package I dropped off given how volital she clearly is. She is not someone who should be working in a people forward/customer service capacity.

Never seen anyone more pessimistic about life. I feel sorry for the employees here. They are unnecessarily rude and miserable. Hope they find peace someday

Middle aged Black man, last name SIDELL. Very condescending and rude. I've never seen him here before but the way he speaks to people as if they're stupid or incompetent is completely unnecessary. He acts as if it's a burden to have to repeat himself or offer kindness. He hates his job and you can tell by how he treats others. I normally have a pleasant experience when I come here which is why I traveled all the way from Brooklyn. He doesn't need a customer facing job if he's young to talk to people like they're beneath him.

I recently walked into this branch to file a few final tax forms for my brother who suddenly died in his 30s last year, and did not expect to be treated the way I was.
One of the employees, which multiple others have mentioned, is unnecessarily and extremely rude. For identification purposes, on the day, she had short hair, wore heavy makeup, and looked maybe in her 40s to 50s; thick accent, East Asian (not being racist - I'm part-Asian myself - just stating traits for identification purposes).
When I was called up by her, I kindly asked her how to use the self-service kiosk for regularly priority mail for future reference so I wouldn't have to wait in line next time, since it wasn't a clear option on the system. She yapped she's not a technician and that if I don't want to wait in line I can go to another post office.
At the time of selecting receipt type, she quickly selected paper receipt for me. I told her I had wanted an email receipt. She claimed "computer not working", which didn't make sense considering the rest of the process worked fine.
Then she suddenly started continuously yelling at me for bringing a "bike" into the building. I had not. It was an electric scooter, it was off and I was walking it around. I told her I didn't see any signs or notices saying it wasn't allowed. She said "there IS a sign, open your eyes". I eventually found a tiny, easily missable sign at the front inner door with multiple icons including of a bike, crossed out. Nothing about scooters.
I went to a desk on the opposite side of the room to take a photo of the paper receipt so I could discard it. She continued yelling at me about the "bike" from across the room full of people in line, purposely making a scene. I told her it's off, I'm walking it and I'll be out in a minute. Needless to say I was glad to get out of there so I didn't have to listen to more of her yapping.
I also saw her yelling at other customers very rudely while I was waiting in line. Considering the multiple poor reviews from other customers that focused on her, I'm surprised she's still working there or at least still acts the way she does. She should have been reprimanded for her behavior already.
Actually, after other shockingly poor experiences at other USPS offices, I wouldn't be surprised if the USPS purposely trains their employees to be ridiculously unbearable, and this lady is just a textbook example.
