- KTKai TomzigMay 7, 20261.0Every time I’ve gone to the USPS office on West 83rd Street, the experience has been the same: unmotivated staff, unfriendly interactions, and the feeling that you’re inconveniencing them simply by showing up. Employees are often watching things on their phones while working, and basic customer service seems like an afterthought. I only stop by every couple of months, so maybe I’ve been unlucky, but so far the experience has been consistently disappointing.

I went Into the post office to drop off a prepaid package and also to pay for a package to be shipped after waiting in line for 20 minutes and there were only three people in front of me. A woman came out and said our scales aren’t working. It’ll be an hour or so until they’re fixed we can’t take any packages. I did drop off the prepaid. I opened the door to where you put them and it was totally full. These are the laziest people you’ll ever run into. Avoid this post office.
