Power tripping staff, needs an attitude check - now I resort to prepaid usps packages and scheduled pickups to avoid stepping foot in this place. Surprised he hasn’t been fired yet.

I visited this post office on Saturday. I was the only customer there at the time, and there were two employees working at the counter. I asked if they could provide me with a pen and a small piece of paper so I could write down the address. After I finished writing the address, I returned to the counter and gave the pen back. At that point, a male employee came out and started yelling at me, accusing me of having my hands on their desk and implying that I had done something wrong. My hands were completely empty. I simply returned the pen, and everything that happened could be clearly seen on the security cameras. After that, I had to wait until one of the employees came over and took my package. I took a photo of my package simply so I would have proof that I had mailed it. The female employee then also started yelling at me and told me that I was not allowed to take a photo. However, there were no signs or notices anywhere stating that customers were prohibited from taking photos of their own packages. Both employees were extremely rude and disrespectful toward me. I felt that I was being treated unfairly and that there was a strong racial component to the way I was treated as a white customer. The entire interaction was extremely uncomfortable, hostile, and upsetting. As I was leaving, I told them that they should not treat people this way and that their behavior was unacceptable and inhumane. They continued yelling at me and making accusations even as I was walking out. This was an absolutely terrible experience. I have never been treated this way at a post office before, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. I believe this incident should be reviewed, including the security camera footage, and that the employees involved should be held accountable for their behavior.

Ive had to report one of the rude postal workers to the post madter general. There should be a policy for the way there workers talk to customers. Telling a customer to shut up is never appropriate
