I went at 16:30. They told me to go get a label printed. They had closed the post office by 16:50. Even though it says 17:00, they closed 10 minutes early. Disrespectful people.

This office lost prescription medication & wouldn't bother to double-check to see if it was still on the premises after days of pleading with the front desk to do so. It never left the facility. They just... lost a Schedule II substance. No explanation, no repercussion. The tracking stopped at that facility and the sender never received it back. After two weeks, the Supervisor Erica never came into address it despite their claims that she'd come each day.

Missing mail, it has a happened a few times but I gave grace because it’s the only postal office on the island, I was expecting some important government mail and I’ve always used the Informed Delivery service so I’m aware and I’ve briefly in the past have worked for USPS as PSE, so I’m aware of policies and protocols and such. However this time around this time the morning of July 27th it stated on the informed delivery that I was suppose to receive atleast 3 pieces of mail. I’ve noticed the past week that my mail was not delivered on time the previous Monday but I gave it grace, so it was the same for this week and assume the mail would show up the following day. The next day arrives I check my mailbox and only received 1 out of 3 of the mails stated on the informed delivery but this mail wasn’t mine, I gave it another day and assume it probably was in someone else’s mailbox or they forget to deliver my mail but still nothing but whatever was stated that would show up on that day and it’s mail that doesn’t have my name. It is Friday and I check there is nothing in the mail box and I even went on Wednesday and spoke to a clerk and supervisor and I went there to say I was missing mail and the clerk she asked if it was a check (which idk how she knew that was the first thing to ask), the supervisor comes over and speaks the same mumbo jumbo that you tell customers when you don’t want cause a disruption and just tells me to report it online and give it a few days which I did prior to coming in and I filed another complaint today (July 31st). I’ve been living in this area for 3-4 years and I’ve had some shady stuff occur with my mail but due to me dealing with personal matters I’ve let it slide. But at this point y’all need to investigate this location because I feel like you guys have some dishonesty people here and I’m not the only person who has complained about mail being missing especially where I live. If my mail does not come by the following Monday, I will file a police report and follow up with the postal official investigation because enough is enough

I have been to many post offices, but I want to make a special shoutout to the clerk at this post office for making this office visit the least pleasurable post office visit I have ever had. I approached the clerk with two first class certified letters, one of which was non-machineable. The clerk was not wearing his uniform, and had no name tag on. I presented him the non-machineable letter first, indicating that there were fragile items inside. He took the letter, started bending and folding it, breaking a whole bunch of things in the envelope, and said "it's machineable." Horrified, I protested, and was ignored. He then processed the second machineable item first, and asked me if there were any fragile items in the mailpiece. Assuming he meant the first piece, I indicated "yes" on the screen, only to be berated by him that the screen was referring to the second mailpiece. He then bypassed the survey, bypassed my option to have the receipt emailed to me, and then proceeded to process the second mailpiece. When I indicated to him that it was non-machineable, and that I had paid extra postage for it, he flat out said "there's no such thing as non-machineable first class certified." When I presented another receipt from the Albertson PO on Long Island, indicating that such a service did exist, he threw me out of the post office with the non-machineable mailpiece. As I was leaving, I could hear him barking at an elderly lady who had asked if they sold gift cards. This clerk is the reason why people hate the USPS. Something needs to be done about him. I would give 0 stars if I could.
