I have never seen a worse service ever. I purchased a money order of 1,000.00 in the post office at Nagle Ave and had the lady deliver it to Florida. All of sudden the package was lost. For more that 2 weeks I had to see how the money was sent back from Florida due to "INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS" and the day it returned it was out on delivery IN FLORIDA. That's right, the same day it supposedly returned it was out on delivery in FLORDIA. I returned to the post office and they told me it was at this branch, in Inwood. I came here and the woman here insisted that the package was delivered to my home when it was never true. Then all of a sudden the package ended up listed as delivered back to me at my home. I Then had to put an inquiry regarding the lost/stolen money order and the woman here gave me a hard time filling out the form and returned the form to me, refusing to mail it out against the instructions on the back of the form. The total experience was the worse I have seen. I am not giving up on my lost/stolen money. A thousand dollars is a lot of money to lose and these people were entrusted to keep it safe and deliver it as promised and they failed horribly. I am now preparing to communicate this to law enforcement because the way this was handled may be criminal.

A few years ago, an agent took my mail that was meant to be sent overseas. During the entire process she was talking on her phone, and I sensed that mistakes could happen because she wasn’t paying full attention. When I asked to verify the address she had entered, she refused to show it to me. The mail never reached its destination, and I was never refunded for the service.

This is the worst service one could possibly receive anywhere—they take first place for it. They should be forced to take a course in human relations—specifically the young woman who was working at Window 5 yesterday around lunchtime.

Every staff person I’ve interacted with here over the years has been great. They switch between English and Spanish, they are businesslike and patient. The lines can be long - they need more staff, but that’s not anyone’s fault here. And they need to have just a place for people to drop prepaid packages so you don’t have to wait in line.
