Its 8:28am and this post office is still closed. Its supposed to be open at 8am. What is going on? Why is our government not supporting the USPS?

This is the second time that I’ve been to the post office location at 8 AM back to back. The gates are down. The lock is on the gate. Both sides of the windows are open somebody’s in the cleaning. They don’t answer the phone and they have not opened the gate yet this is the worst post office. I’ve ever been on my entire life. There’s an abundance of service windows, but only 2 to 3 people working you guys need to fire everybody at this location and do a rehire get people that wanna come to work do their job and give out customer experience people go downtown to get the best. Why can’t we have the best Uptown this is a disgrace as I’m standing outside the location at 8:21 now waiting.

Always slow, rude people behind the counter and never someone there for passport appointments. The system will make your appointment for this location and when you arrive there’s no one there.

Absolutely terrible experience. I spent over two hours at this post office just trying to get a money order and send a piece of mail, and it turned into a complete nightmare. The employees were extremely rude, dismissive, and outright disrespectful the entire time.
They made multiple mistakes during my transaction and then they had no idea how to fix them.
Instead of taking responsibility, they raised their voices at customers, creating a very uncomfortable and unprofessional environment.
What’s even more upsetting is the lack of consideration for people with disabilities. I witnessed behavior that showed little to no regard for individuals in wheelchairs, which is completely unacceptable for a public service facility.
It’s honestly sad to see such poor service in our neighborhood. Staff either need proper training or should not be working in customer-facing roles at all. This place seriously needs improvement.

This is the worst post office I’ve ever dealt with. Like the many other reviewers. I totally agree that the level of unprofessionalism, incompetence and overall chaos is astounding considering this is a Federal service funded by the taxpayers. I was expecting a package at my place of employment. Signed up for tracking and notifications. 1st notification alerted me that an attempt was made but that the mailroom and office was closed. They arrived after normal business hours (5pm), then a 2nd attempt made , unsuccessful because again arrived after business hours. But then input package as delivered and that was also transmitted to the merchant. Long story short Saturday arrives and even though this is clearly a Monday thru Friday office building they go out with my package again and then at around 3pm I get a notification that the package is being returned to sender due it not being claimed in the appropriate amount of days. Meanwhile no notice was ever left for me to claim the package at this post office because the building is closed on weekends and after 5 pm. And furthermore why would they keep taking the package out of the post office if the next step is for me to pick it up at said post office? The post office closes at 4 on Saturdays and I got this notification after 3 pm. So I could not feasibly go in person to try to stop the return because I wasn’t even in the city on Saturday. I tried calling for an hour and the phone rang , no voicemail greeting , it would just disconnect after about 10 rings. I have submitted 2 email requests for assistance thru the website and received two rubber stamp identical replies indicating they are in receipt and will respond one they complete their investigation. No date given , no phone number provided.
So I go in person to this post office Monday, waited on line for about 20 minutes and was told “nothing could be done because my package has already been processed to be returned to sender even though the post office is at fault”. Was told my only recourse is to contact the usps customer service again to see if they could put an intercept in the package and that I would have to pay $10 for this process.
I called them today again the staff person tells me nothing can be done , since the package is in process of being returned. I asked to escalate my inquiry and complaint since I am not satisfied with this outcome only to be told they could only do that once I receive a response from the investigation/ inquiry which would be 2-3 business days. Meanwhile my package is headed back to merchant. Contacted the merchant which is a retail chain store because the items are now all unavailable, sold out on line and in store according to website. They confirmed this to be true and unfortunately they do not re send packages that are returned to them. So I now will never get the items I paid for and am being told they still have a notification from the post office stating the items were actually delivered and that until the package reaches them they are not going to be able to issue a refund. And once it does reach their warehouse it will be 14 days before I can receive a refund.
So basically all of this is happening due to the failure and incompetence of this particular post office and unprofessional staff.
Just wow.
Don’t ever have anything delivered to this post office’s catchment area because this is how they conduct themselves. Zip code is 10027.
Just ridiculous.
