Usually crowded, and the atmosphere is like being at the IRS or at the DMV rather than the post office. The one in fishkill off 52 seems much more pleasant although it can be crowded at times as well.

Extremely Disappointed with Passport Services at this Post Office I had an extremely frustrating experience with passport services at this post office. Despite checking the Department of State website, which clearly stated that the post office had walk-in hours on Saturdays from 10-10:30 am, my family and I arrived at 9:40 am, only to discover that this information was completely false. This false information not only wasted our time but also disrupted our carefully coordinated effort to manage the logistics of getting passports for our family of four, including our kids. To make matters worse, when the post office employee finally opened the door at 10 am and realized why we were there, he displayed a blunt and unhelpful attitude. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience caused or attempting to assist us, he simply stated, "We don't do that here." I expressed my disappointment in a disappointed tone, explaining that the Department of State website clearly indicated otherwise. Unfortunately, the employee's response was to direct me to contact the post office supervisor. This only means wasting more time reaching out to someone who probably won't care and won't take any action. This entire ordeal left me deeply dissatisfied with the level of service and professionalism at this post office. It is unacceptable to provide inaccurate information on the Department of State website or to dismiss customers' concerns so callously. If the post office cannot offer passport services on Saturdays, they should promptly remove this option from the website to avoid further inconvenience and disappointment. In my opinion, the post office should take immediate steps to rectify this situation. They could either update the Department of State website with correct information or prominently display a sign at the front stating that passport services are not available at this location. Either option would be preferable to the current state of affairs, which can only be described as a complete failure in providing reliable passport services. I strongly advise others to explore alternative options for passport services and avoid this post office unless they enjoy wasting time and dealing with unhelpful staff.

The woman behind the counter with the short blonde hair and the glasses is very rude and not helpful at all. You ask your question she answers you condescendingly. I tried to ask If a mail delivery was attempted because somebody had stole my mailbox and she said how could they attempt it if your mailbox was stolen meanwhile I was attempting to find out when exactly it went missing... Then I have to go back to the Post Office because my mail was being held and I'm missing a package that is very important and I got a notification stating that it was being held at the Hopewell Post Office with a tracking number she literally Walked through a doorway turned around and came right back there's just no way that she looked for it at all and I watched her do that to the customer in front of me as well. I told her it was being held there as of yesterday Morning and she just continued to say we have not received it yet In the process of our mail being held my husband had to go to the Post Office twice they were trying to say that our mail was not there and we called the annex in lagrangeville and confirmed it was sent on the day requested . Additionally I just want to add that frequently we do get other people's mail and we are definitely missing articles of mail as mail it has been increasingly bad over the last 2 years...
