worst service ever and passport service rep dude is the worst. I can't believe I took the time to renew. Where I would normally go to this. All, the man at the booth said to me. It's all through the mail for the renew. Then I went back to ask a quick question. And, waited in lone again. He closed the booth and left. WOW!

If I could give 0 star I probably would. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this USPS location anymore. This has not been a one-time bad experience, it has been consistently awful for years. Every single interaction with the staff here feels deeply unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. Yes, this location is clearly understaffed, and many other reviews have already mentioned that. But being understaffed does not excuse the way customers are treated here. What’s especially upsetting is how many times I’ve witnessed elderly Asian customers being treated with complete impatience and disrespect. This area is full of Asian families and seniors, and it genuinely feels like the staff take advantage of the fact that many elderly people either don’t speak fluent English or don’t know how to formally and don't even bother to complain. I’ve repeatedly seen employees ignore customers while they’re speaking, refuse to properly listen to questions, avoid eye contact entirely, and respond with irritation instead of basic professionalism. Yesterday, I simply asked a staff member to confirm which drop-off window I should use for my packages, since most of the windows were already packed with parcels. The employee didn’t even look up at me once, no eye contact, no basic courtesy , just a dismissive “over there” in an annoyed loudly tone while continuing staring on her phone didn’t bother to look up at me. At this point, people are not even expecting professionalism anymore from this place, just simple decency, basic respect and even that feels too much to ask from this USPS location. This is honestly one of the worst USPS locations I’ve ever experienced, not just in New York, but anywhere in the U.S. It’s frustrating that this kind of behavior has apparently gone unchecked for so many years.

I don’t understand why a service industry business would hire such a rude employee. This morning, the staff member at Window 7 kept interrupting me and wouldn’t even let me finish explaining my situation before sending me to the self-service machine. My package was marked as “picked up by someone else,” but the pickup time showed early in the morning before the post office was even open. Obviously, that’s a very unusual issue, so of course I needed to ask for help. However, she completely ignored my concerns, interrupted every sentence I tried to say, and had an extremely rude attitude. What was even more upsetting was the way she spoke to other Chinese customers who didn’t speak much English — her attitude toward them was especially harsh and disrespectful. Although another staff member eventually helped me resolve the issue, I truly do not think someone with this kind of attitude is suitable for a customer service position.

I experienced an unprofessional and discriminatory interaction with one of your clerks, Jennifer, that I believe warrants your immediate attention and review. I came to the post office to drop off a return package. I approached service window 4 where Jennifer was stationed. Upon requesting to drop off my package, Jennifer refused to assist me and instead directed me to use the self-service machine. When I explained that my package was too large to fit in the self-service drop-off box, Jennifer dismissed my concerns, stating that it wouldn’t fit at the service window either, which was untrue—my package was within the size limit and fit perfectly in the window. Despite my polite request for assistance, Jennifer continued to be unhelpful and rude. I showed her the return QR code, and after scanning it, she claimed the package could not be accepted because it was overweight. I fully understood the policy and assured her I would remove some items to make the weight within the acceptable limit. However, instead of assisting me further, Jennifer insisted I contact the merchant for a new label, which I found to be an unreasonable suggestion. I requested to speak with a manager, and after doing so, the manager confirmed that I could simply adjust the package’s weight and proceed without needing a new label. After repackaging my items to meet the weight requirements, I returned to window 4 to find Jennifer once again refusing to serve me. She continued to assist other customers while ignoring me. During my wait, I observed that Jennifer's behavior seemed disproportionately harsh toward Asian clients, leading me to believe that racial bias may have influenced her treatment of me. I am deeply disappointed by Jennifer’s rude and dismissive behavior, and I feel that her actions were both unprofessional and discriminatory. No customer should be treated in such a manner, and I trust you will investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure that future interactions are more respectful and in line with the standards of service your post office is expected to uphold.

I purchased a prepaid parcel online, I even entered a higher weight for it just in case their "machine" says it's a few oz heavier (like they always do at this location). Everything was done properly, then after 40 mins on the line, when it was my turn, they tried to screw me over by saying I owed an extra $8 because their computer system says I need to pay more. I literally bought the shipping from the official USPS site, and I showed my phone with all the info on the purchase and receipt. The teller said it's not her problem, and she called for her supervisor, an Asian lady named "LUCY". She was even worse than the teller. She refused to return my package, and not refund me when I said I'll bring my business to the local UPS. Then she slammed the "closed window" sheet in my face. Then she told the teller to just ignore me, and don't bother to speak to me. My father worked for the USPS for over 30yrs, he was shocked at the "service" provided in this local center. From now on, I'll either use the UPS, or go to my regular previous USPS, it's further away, but they treat you as a human. Anyone reading, if you don't heed my review warning, then pray you don't come across "LUCY", unless you want to be dehumanized.
