The worst experience I've ever had at a post office. First, they opened the door 15 minutes late despite seeing a long line of customers waiting in the lobby. One guy working the counter. Apparently having trouble seeing his computer screen because he kept taking his glasses off & squinting at screen. Couldn't find something to measure my package with - no ruler or tape measure. Now he's slamming drawers and throwing things around. Tells me he's going to have to fudge it.I say is that going to present a problem on delivery? He says what do you want me to do? I say measure my package & do your job professionally. He threw the box at me & told me to get out. Witnesses everywhere. I left and would never go back but this place was a disaster. Lobby dirty, garbage overflowing. Not USPS finest moment.

Just adding my one star review to the long list. Today I walked in and there were ZERO other customers in the post office. I obviously interrupted the clerk’s text messaging conversation because despite having prepaid labels on all my packages, she refused all 4 parcels I was mailing with a huff. I’ve never been dismissed at any other post office like I was today. If you are headed here, you might bring a peace offering. I suggest chocolates or and Edible Arrangement at minimum. Or just go to the Hudson Street branch & save yourself the anxiety.

My wife purchased $12.25 worth of stamps at the Cornwall Post Office on Quaker Avenue but her debit card was charged $62.25.Her bank statement says the charge included $50 cash back. My wife did not request or receive $50 cash back. She has never requested cash back anywhere in her life. She went back to the post office and was told there was nothing that could be done and she should take the matter up with her bank. I reported the issue to the USPS and they are investigating. Always check and keep your receipts when you go to the Post Office.

Unfortunately you can't give them less. I've lived in Cornwall 26 years. The last 5 years of dealing with the uncaring rude personnel in this post office is really shameful. If you don't like dealing with the public you should work elsewhere. Garbage cans are taken away any time they want and the response when asked where they are is unapologetic and as if your a child who is being punished. They lost my mail with a very important document that I had to pay $500 to retrieve and they told me it was my fault. Not sure how since it was never in my PO Box. I've tried to file a complaint and the wait for that is always over an hour. Very frustrating.
