  I don't know if I got a new mail person or what is going on, but I've lived in this house for over 4 years and recently this past 6+ months my packages keep getting delivered a hole street over (or elsewhere for all I know). I have the same house number as someone one street over...but they're still different street names. Half the time the person getting my packages will drive it over (whenever they decide they want to instead of giving it back to usps but thankful they bring me some of it). The amount of times I've had to go through a business's customer service to get a replacement item sent because it never showed up is getting ridiculous. The post office is never helpful in terms of telling me where my missing package is, they don't seem to have any idea where it was delivered. However, everyone I've talked to at the branch have been friendly, just didn't turn out helpful. And I have no idea if I'm getting all of my paper mail, which is frustrating since I'm getting a lot of important paperwork from my doctor and insurance company (trying to determine cause of iron deficiency/possible auto immune issues). I have called in the past asking them to make a note for my address about this type of stuff, but I guess it gets ignored or was never put in.

  This is the second time I have had a problem with this post office, stating that I requested my package to be held at the post office when I didn’t talk to anyone The last time was with my Army paperwork that they stated they brought to my house and knocked on my door and never did the worst post office I have ever came in contact with would be this one. It is ridiculous that you guys train for over 60 days to do your job and that’s the one thing you’re failing at.

  After reading through the comments regarding the Carthage Post Office, I am compelled to write: I have been a Carthage resident for nearly 60 years, served by this post office. My experience inside has always been positive, whether buying stamps, sending packages, or even when applying for a passport. People are people, subject to good days and bad days. But I found that a quick smile and and a friendly greeting has *ALWAYS* been met with a kind reply, quick, courteous service, and prompt help. I have noticed some irregularities in delivery times from the carriers in the village. But I also recognize that there are factors outside their control that can be at play. They always deliver, even on Sundays if they get behind due to mail volume. All said, I am quite please with the Carthage office and those that give it their best, even when the snarly ones walk in off the street.
