- JCJoAnne C7May 26, 20261.0One of the persons working the front desk is mean, cranky, treating customers as inconveniences, and snaps at them when she speaks. This woman has anger issues and should not be working with the public. I'm not going to renew my po box because of her.
- HCHenry CollinsMar 14, 20262.0although our individual route carrier is terrific, the service at the post office is poor at best. it's better than it was, which isn't saying much. for a time, the joke was "can I at least finish telling you what I want before you say no?" because AP is so consistently bad, I use the West Sand Lake location instead, which is as great as AP is bad. the person who mans the desk is highly competent, efficient, knowledgeable, and utterly professional. the extra few minutes' drive is well worth it. some time ago, at WSL they noticed my return address and asked why I was there instead of the AP location. I said "have you gone in there lately?" there were no additional questions.

They both always have a cheerful word and a smile in greeting. Great service, nice people..
- TFthaddeus FLINTJul 11, 20231.0Literally the worst Post Office in probably the entire US. There are a few nice people there, but the Post Master herself and and a few others are the rudest most unhelpful people you will ever meet. The place looks like a small time jail and it's run like one. Mail is constantly sent to the wrong addresses, or sent back, or just lost. They don't care. Unless you are longtime resident. In which case they will violate rules for some of you, if they like you. We actually moved out of Averill Park just to get a different Post Office to deal with our mail. If you live here or are considering moving here, I would think twice about it. Actually I wouldn't move there at all, it's not worth the hassle due to this Post Office.
