Great small-town post office. I needed to mail myself things we got on vacation, and the lady working was extremely helpful and very friendly.

I visit this post office often, and while I keep hoping for a straightforward and pleasant experience, I am repeatedly disappointed. The staff currently employed at this location are consistently unpolite and, at times, downright rude. From the moment I walk in, I am met with curt responses and a lack of basic courtesy. Simple questions are answered with impatience, and it seems as though I am inconveniencing the employees simply by needing assistance. To make matters worse, the rules and procedures seem to change every time I visit, adding to the confusion and frustration. This unprofessional behavior, combined with the constantly shifting policies, makes an already stressful errand much more unpleasant. Given the importance of customer service in such a public-facing role, I believe this post office would greatly benefit from hiring new staff members who are friendly, respectful, and willing to help customers. Until improvements are made, I would hesitate to recommend this location to others.

These people are confused and the place needs to be restaffed. My wife goes in to renew our yearly membership for our PO Box. One of the staff members says we don’t have to pay a fee since we live up there. My wife says that’s great. The next day they change our key locks and proceed to tell us that we never paid our fee. My wife says that the fee is waived since we’re current residents up there. We think we get the situation resolved and are given new keys for the same box we had. 2 months and no issues. I go in to check the mail one night and we get a slip saying your box can no longer be used. We go in, once again they’re all confused. I’ve had enough and get a little stern and say fix this. We came in a couple of months ago to renew our box, were told we’re good and no fee needed, then you guys change the locks, we were given the keys to the same box we had, now we have to get a new box. They need help or they need to get their stuff together

The postal clerks are top-notch, especially when they're busy. I lived in Virginia City 4 years. It has a small town, friendly vibe. I always leave with a smile when I go to the desk for mail services.
