The gentleman working there was extremely dismissive and, in my experience, seemed determined to charge me for every little thing, even though I had already paid for the products and shipping related to my $2,500+ bike purchase. I needed to return a few parts, and he tried to charge me nearly $15 just to handle the return. He also repeatedly left the area, locked the door, and would not print the return labels I needed to put on my packages. On top of that, he gave me information that I later found out was not accurate. I also felt that I was treated differently because I am a person of color. I can’t say for certain that racism was the reason, and I don’t want to make an accusation I can’t prove, but the way I was treated definitely left me uncomfortable and gave me that impression. Thankfully, someone at the hotel nearby treated me with respect, printed the labels for me, and helped me get everything taken care of. That was the kind of customer service I expected in the first place. If you are a person of color, I would personally be cautious about going to this location based on my experience. I hope management looks into what happened, speaks with the employee involved, and makes it clear that customers should be treated respectfully and given accurate information regardless of who they are. I would not recommend this UPS location based on my experience.
