  At closing, we (the sellers) were presented with a grossly inaccurate settlement statement. My spouse and I unwittingly signed the document, trusting that the title company had properly prepared and reviewed the paperwork. After signing, we noticed that the wire transfer was over $13,000 less than what we were expecting. We reached out to our realtor who then contacted the title company for an explanation. A First American representative then reached out (after I had already figured out the cause of the issue) and very condescendingly explained that the error was due to a “computer glitch” that erased over half of the commission that we were responsible for paying. He took no ownership, and flat out told us that he didn’t review the paperwork. He then proceeded to email me a document from 22 days prior that we signed as “proof” that we agreed to the charges. Mind you, we were fully expecting to pay commission, and were more than happy to, but I explained that this was not at all the issue at hand. Why does First American not review ALL paperwork before sellers sign?

  I have worked with Samantha Walsh and Garth Oesterling for quite a while. They work very hard to ensure my clients are assisted through the real estate closing process successfully and are both a great source of information. I recommend them to everyone!

  I can not say enough how much Rachael Carter and her team do for me as an agent....Getting my clients signed when needed even if at the last minute! The service and organization and willingness to help is just Amazing!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her and her team and if you need a good escrow officer she is it!!!!!
