  They're saying an address that has been here for over 100 years does not exist. The only thing that might be possibly, 'new,' is a unit number, but that unit has been an existence for probably at least the last 25 yrs. I seriously think these people are just lazy and looking for an excuse not to do their job. I ordered a package and before anyone even bothered contacting me- and they had all the information to do so- they just sent it right back without telling me. I had to go online and see myself why the hell my package still hadn't arrived. The address is completely legitimate. No other carrier has an issue with it . The thing they are throwing a fit about is the addition of a unit number. Any idiot could see if they came to the address that there is a clearly marked unit number because it is a property with a couple different residences on it. We just moved in and I know that it has been set up this way for a long time. In addition, we had to go in person to talk to someone about it because it's impossible to get ahold of anyone over the phone. They were snarky and dismissive of the entire situation. In the meantime, they want me to pay $40 to get the address officially registered when it's not my responsibility to do so or they want me to conveniently open a PO Box and somehow reward them for their lack of competence. If you have any way of avoiding working with this post office, I would definitely recommend doing so. Edit: Reading the other reviews here it seems unfortunately that this type of situation is not at all uncommon. They should seriously be monitored by headquarters and possibly shut down and restaffed. This is a huge waste of everyone's energy and time. If I do open a PO Box it sure as hell is not gonna be at this location.

  I've had great experiences with the folks who work at the El Prado Post office. They are kind, courteous and have gone above and beyond to help me track and locate urgent time sensitive packages. Ian specifically has really helped me out. It's incredibly high volume and they do a great job to help keep the rural community in our mail. Thanks so much for all your hardwork.

  Ditto what the reviewer Scarlett said. This is unfortunate. Everyone else who works here is personable and friendly. This same postal worker seems to be missing some basic social cues. Consistently, she cannot seem to answer questions directly and would rather just be childish and annoying.
