  Kel, Toni and the rest of Couture Brookerage is just simply amazing! It was such a pleasant surprise to receive such a wonderful welcome card with a gift basket. The card said: “ From the movie " Its a wonderful Life Blessing Bread - That this house may never Know hunger Salt - That life may always have flavor wine - That joy and prosperity may reign forever.” They include those items and then some. They also even gift me an automatic mop for the floors! They are just the absolute best. I have rented houses for a handful of places, no one can compare to Couture! Thank you again! Alex

  ***BEWARE*** If you are going to rent from these crooks document document document. Take as many pictures as possible. Have a witness near at all times. Avoid phone calls. Text messaging and emails preferably. Or you will be called a liar if you can't show proof of a conversation. Racist, favoritism, and discrimination when it came to policy and safety. I was charged $250 for a deep cleaning when I had mouse poop all over when I moved in. Disgusting service! Don't trust your money here. Photos uploaded are from when we moved in. I expressed my concern for the dirty mess and was credited $50. I have a maintenance report as proof you had full knowledge of the unsanitary apartment. I also have past text messages with Victoria regarding this and yet our deposit was used at your disposal. I did my own cleaning. When we moved it was clean. Show me proof I did not clean. I can show proof you are lying at this very moment. Pictures will be uploaded soon. This is fraud! The general public needs to know how you conduct business! *** I would rather not call and my family and I have experienced enough distress. The last phone call we had you would not allow us to speak and continued to rant on and on about how you're not just some white lady.... I assumed when we moved we would be done with this mess but retaliation was sought through our deposit. The apartment when we moved in was still being worked on. We were told it will be a 3 bedroom, driveway parking, washer and dryer hookup, and yard space. Move in day we sat outside for a moment while Victoria went to speak with Gary and Fern and the other man there. She came out said they will be finished soon with the floor and will be cleaning. We looked for a moment until she said I'm in a rush I have 10 other people signing leases today I can't wait here. So she rushed us through the lease. Then told us to wait in the front room until they finish and clean. Sat and waited for 45 min. Finally started unloading into the room we were in. Maintenance continued to work. Rushing. We saw Fern getting ready to mop. We got out of the way. They soon rushed out and left. We looked around and it was a mess. Mouse poop. Holes in the ceiling. Dirty stove. Yard was a mess. Like someone had a party. Beer bottle caps and cigarette butts littered the ground. There was one porch light and we didn't have access to it. The walkway was dangerously uneven. I could go on. But I tried to see the bright side. Bigger place. I did confront you about the mess. As shown. Soon after moving in we dealt with racist neighbors telling their dogs to"eat the beaners" these dogs were getting let out unleashed. I informed you. Then there was the dog fight through the window. I called 311 as instructed by you. After speaking with the city, and animal control, and NM Legal Aid, Tenant/landlord hotline and the police all informed me the removal of the dangerous dogs can only come from the landlord or owner. So why wouldn't you get the dogs removed? Why was I called childish when I expressed my concern for my family's safety? Soon after all of this maintenance reports were getting closed without being resolved, retaliation? The swamp cooler had these huge holes all the way around it and the filter was never changed. There was no driveway parking for an entire year, no dryer hookup, and we did a lot of the maintenance here. I tried to let this go and move on. But how is it that you get to go uncheck with treating people this way and still collect money? Couture Brokerage is in the business of keeping deposits when seeking retaliation. I was told by Victoria we would be getting our full deposit back but that didn't happen..

  I am leaving this review as a warning to others. As of August 2024, the property at 1120 Lead Ave 87102 has a bedbug infestation. I would not move in unless the landlords are transparent about having taken care of the issue. I don’t want what happened to me and my roommate to happen to anyone else.
