    I visited this Staples location to return several Amazon items and an Old Navy purchase through Happy Returns. The Happy Returns process was quick, efficient, and completely hassle-free. Afterward, I went to the cashier to process five separate Amazon returns. Once the associate finished scanning my items, I asked for a receipt but was told this location does not provide one and that I would receive confirmation from Amazon within 24 hours. Since I've experienced the same process at other Amazon drop-off locations, I accepted that explanation and left. A few minutes later, I received confirmation that only one of my five returns was in transit to Amazon. Hours passed, and the other four returns never updated. I contacted Amazon to report the issue. Later that evening, I received a refund for the first item, but there was still no indication that the remaining four returns had ever been processed. I called Staples and spoke with a supervisor, who told me that "these things happen" and suggested the barcode had likely glitched. He advised me to return to the store the following day so the barcodes could be rescanned, even though I no longer had possession of the items. I went out of my way to return the next day and asked to speak with the supervisor. Instead, two other employees assisted me. They told me I was "lucky" that the previous day's Amazon returns had not yet left the store. After searching through multiple boxes, they found my items and rescanned them. They explained that the original associate had failed to properly process each individual return, meaning Amazon would not have had a record that I returned those items and I likely would not have received my refunds. To make matters worse, they handed me four receipts, but two of them were for someone else's returns. At that point, I had to verify everything myself because I no longer had confidence that the process was being handled correctly. Throughout this entire experience, I remained calm, polite, and respectful to every employee I interacted with. Unfortunately, the customer service and handling of my returns were unacceptable. Without any receipt or proof that my items had been dropped off, I had no way to demonstrate that I had returned them. Had I not gone back to the store quickly enough the next day, I could have lost my money. Going forward, I will not use Staples for Amazon returns and will instead continue using Whole Foods, where I've never experienced these issues. I took the time to write this review because I don't want anyone else to go through what I experienced. This situation highlights the need for better employee training, more accountability, and a more reliable return process. I sincerely hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience at this location.

    I would strongly caution anyone against using the Staples in Union, NJ for printing services if you are looking for basic customer care, professionalism, or helpful support. I placed a print order for fewer than 30 prints and realized it was submitted just a few minutes after the same day cutoff. I called the store directly, not to demand anything unreasonable, but simply to ask if there was any possibility the order could still be completed that day or if there were any other options available. The poor customer service I received was unacceptable. The person on the phone did not ask for my order information, did not attempt to look anything up, did not offer any alternatives, and did not provide even basic guidance. Instead, he told me that if he got off the phone, he could get to the orders sooner. That response was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I understand that stores get busy. I also understand that same day printing may not always be possible after a cutoff time. However, this was not just about whether the order could be completed. This was about poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and a complete unwillingness to even try to assist a customer. When someone calls a business for help, they should not be treated like an inconvenience. A simple “Let me check,” “Here are your options,” or “Another nearby store may be able to help” would have shown basic customer care. Instead, I was told to call back an hour before closing, with no real help, no order review, no suggestion to come into the store, no mention of self service machines, and no attempt to provide a solution. For a business that works directly with people and relies on customers for printing needs, this level of poor customer service is not acceptable. Disappointing is honestly an understatement. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location for printing services, and I personally would not print here again.
