- SRSheila Rudolph5 days ago3.0I visited Staples in Totowa today to have some printing done, and I was disappointed with the level of customer service I received. After completing my printing order, the employee placed my copies on the counter and directed me to another register to pay. However, he failed to pick up my copies and bring them to the counter where he was processing my payment. After noticing this, I had to go back myself, gather all of my printed materials, and bring them to the register. Once I completed my purchase, the employee walked away without offering assistance. I then had to ask for a bag, and instead of helping, he simply handed me the bag for me to package my own purchase. There was no “thank you,” “have a nice day,” or any basic courtesy extended. Details matter when it comes to customer service. Ironically, just a few days ago when I visited the store and management appeared to be present, the employees were extremely attentive and accommodating to everyone entering the store. That level of professionalism was completely absent during today’s visit. This experience reflected poor customer service and a lack of attention to the customer experience. I hope this feedback encourages greater consistency in how customers are treated, whether management is present or not.
