- MPMatthew PMar 11, 20171.0Almost every time I put my letters in the mailbox right outside the front door during the night, nobody will scan them. What's the point of paying for tracking when they don't scan them?? My letters generally aren't scanned until they reach the next USPS destination facility which could be two or three days AFTER I put them in the mailbox. It's a problem when you are running a business and need tracking on your letters to be validated within a certain period of time . An example, I dropped a letter in the mailbox on Sunday Feb 19th, it didn't leave their facility until 5:30pm on Feb 22nd. Why does it take 3 days to collect and send out letters from the mailbox that's 10 feet from the front door?!? I understand Monday Feb 20th was presidents day, but the letter should've been scanned and sent out on Feb 21st.
