The woman at the counter is a nightmare. The first time I went she was chatting on the phone on what seemed to be a personal call. She instructed me to leave my labeled package on the counter. I usually make sure to have it scanned in front of me but I was in a hurry so I trusted that she would as soon as she was off her call. BIG MISTAKE! After two days- tracking showed that the post office was “still awaiting the item.” I drove over there to get clarity why it was never scanned in. The same woman was eating a sandwich and could not be bothered! She repeatedly said- with a mouth full of food that “they don’t scan packages and it will be scanned at the distribution center.” Guess what? Eight days later, still no scan. I called yesterday and spoke to someone nice and who seemed competent. While she apologized for the other woman’s behavior she said would look into it but I still haven’t heard back. I’m upset that this important item is now missing. I ship packages all
The time at other locations with no problems. Truly a disappointing experience.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at the Millburn USPS location. I went in to ship a package via USPS Priority Mail, only to be refused service by an incredibly rude clerk (an African American woman working the counter).
The issue? She completely refused to accept my package because she didn’t understand the content description, which was clearly labeled as "sim kit." I calmly explained to her exactly what it was and even offered to show her the official product link on my phone. Instead of being professional, she snapped, said she "didn't care," and claimed that "nobody knows what a sim kit is."
To make matters worse, she then decided to publicly humiliate me. She yelled out loudly to the entire lobby of about 10 waiting customers, "Nobody knows what a sim kit is, right?"
Unbelievable. I gave up, walked out, and went to the UPS store just across the street. The UPS staff was professional, polite, and had absolutely no trouble understanding what a SIM kit was.
The USPS Millburn location desperately needs to hire staff who possess basic English comprehension, a high school education, and rudimentary customer service skills. Save yourself the headache and the disrespect—avoid this location at all costs.

My goodness, my entire day ruined because of this female postal employee who “works” here. I mean, does ANYONE makes the slightest attempt at conducting some sort of performance evaluation of these employees?? It is painfully clear that this particular person does not qualify to be anywhere near customers, let alone directly interacting with them. All I did was approach her with a simple question regarding passport renewal appointment and she stared at me in heavy silence, so when I started repeating it, thinking she might not heard it the first time, she suddenly snapped loudly commanding me to get back in line in order to ask this question. I felt like an inmate who committed a gruesome crime and has to suffer the consequences. Unfortunately the other post offices in the area are not much better. So going to any post office around here turns into some tortuous chore.
