Same as other people’s reviews: The staff member Meggie was very rude and unprofessional, she looked very mad for no reason, and Made up “new policy rules” just to not assist me. Seems like everyone works here likes to make up their own policy, so funny.

If they don’t want to hire more employees the least they can do is put more than one self service kiosk. At least 3 would probably move things along smh. A guy standing next to the kiosk doing nothing cuz he’s not trained for the full service window is an obnoxious lazy excuse

The horrendous attitudes and unprofessional, inefficient, incompetent behavior of the clerks deserve negative scores. Sure, they're understaffed but they actively slow down processes, perhaps having incentive to actually help fewer customers. I've had the misfortune to come to this location 5 times because it's the nearest and each time, I've been treated with disrespect, sarcasm, and impatience by the clerks. One time, they were 40 minutes late opening and yet were impatient with the long line of customers when they needed help. I was watching and saw that when reading about batteries, flammable materials, etc. and also insurance and payment, the clerk spoke extremely quickly and when customers didn't understand and asked her to repeat, she got angry with them. It was clear that for some of these customers, English isn't their first language but she would use the slow, condescending voice when repeating herself. I was sent to the back of the line because she wouldn't let me write an address on the envelope, wasting another 15 minutes of my times on top of the 40 when it would have taken just 10 seconds to write it at the counter. Several times for me and observed customers, the staff purposefully created inefficiency.
The most recent time, I clearly wrote the "To" and "From" addresses on a piece of paper and taped it to the package. But the clerk said they were in the wrong order, which seems ridiculous since the English on the labels was clear. She kicked me out of the line to fix it, saying, "Don't ever do this again" in a threatening voice, as if she were annoyed I wasted her time. I asked for scissors to cut the tape I had used but she said they don't have scissors which is unbelievable for a post office. When I remarked that I didn't know how I'd relabel the package without a tool, she replied with sarcasm, "YEA, EXACTLY." I later learned from someone that she could easily have printed a shipping label since she printed the tracking label anyways and I wasn't using my own postage. So it feels like she gratuitously sent me out of line to do a pointless task and risk damaging the package with the relabeling, purposefully withholding that she could print a shipping label. After the relabeling, I handed the package to another worker who just haphazardly tossed the package into a pile. I didn't have time to tell her to be careful with the fragile contents.
From my observations, they often seem even ruder to people who look like they might be foreigners (such as myself). I have no hard proof of racial discrimination but other reviewers have shared about the racism. It's like the workers have so little control over their lives that they take it out on us, acting like small dictators who boss customers around, having them do pointless things. On the other hand, before the customer pays, there's a quick survey with a frowny, flat, and smiley face to rate the clerk. I saw two clerks both tap the smiley face for themselves, submitting on behalf of the customer! I don't know what those surveys do but this act is an act of duplicity and corruption.
I hope this location gets more working self-service kiosks (only has one right now). The full service they provide is an exercise in humiliation, disrespect, and frustration and the reality is laughably as far from being "full service" as possible. Visit if you want your day or week ruined.

Ok everyone be alert with these workers specially from these location,I send important documenta to the ss building in jc from harrison nj priority mail cause the post office in harrison did not want to take the express mail on a saturday.any way my package arrive on a Monday on these location supposedly go for delivery, but after 3 weeks I recibe a phone call from.the ss building that they still waiting for the documents. So I went to check whats going on with those documents in harrison post office, but they want me to go to jc location actually they wash theyre hands that's how these irresponsible ppl are. So I call jc and they told me that they are going to do a investigation and in the mean time fill a claim for a money refund. The funny parts is that the website doesn't allow me.to do a claim for a refund and now that my case its been closed for jo reason and resolve. Now from the point of view of my self and investigating a little more, I fund out that im not the only one with these problem from jersey city but its more ppl that they documents magically get lost specially when the adresss shows any federal building. These ppl from jc post office they been stealing custumers personal documents and they post office knows about it but they dont investigate them.sonow I fill up a complaint with the national security administration to do a investigation with these post office in jersey city since they are not working with the goberment and do not belong in the goberment. Thats why any post office do not do a investigation about stolen or lost packages. So becarfull cause your personal imformation could be stolen from jersey city post office workers.

It is more than just bad. They are discriminative especially the white male staff on the window. He gave the wrong instructions (asked me to use machine) because he didn't even listen to my request (I said this is an international package), which cost me an hour to back and forth filing out the paper and wait back to the line again and again. And when it is finally my turn to the window again, he called me that I cut the line and ignore me. All the people in the line heard and the next person defended for me. But he still demanded me to redo the line. I requested to meet his manager immediately because I believe that old white staff is discriminating, but the manager was trying to cover his fault and said he will watch the video to learn what happened without take any action even I asked for a written record of what happened just now. You can’t believe how worse it could be here. People may have no better choice but if you ever have, Do Not Use Services Here!
