- DDDrd205 days ago4.0I mailed (in 2026) around 6 items through a local box on my corner and all 6 got to it's destination quickly with a stamp or prepaid. I also mailed around 20-25 items at the post office and every one got to the destination. I also received around 40 tracked deliveries and every one got to me without problem. So they're flawless in 2026 in my case, thankfully. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is, in 2025 a certified was lost, unexplained, and prior to that 2 or so were lost in 2024 based on recollection, as per my family. So I'm going to give them 4 stars and just say 2026 has been fine for me, but I'm still in wait and see mode based on some stuff in prior years, but for the most part I go there regularly and have no issues. That's my honest review. If that changes, I'll revisit.

Incredibly conveniently located only 4 miles from my Townhouse. If you're especially an Online Seller, you will absolutely LOVE this location. With their extended hours it gives you more time to get all of your Orders packaged & shipped out on the same day. WOW. I recently relocated & loved the USPS I used in Netcong or Stanhope. The Personnel Staff Workers have always been so incredibly helpful & kind to me. I couldn't imagine anything better. Yet, USPS in Hackettstown surprisingly impressed me! Perhaps it's simply just the fact if you use the USPS Postal Service System itself at any location, I bet you will find such incredible Employees who are very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, professional & a joy to work with! I have never encountered ever having any problems with delivery of packages at any USPS Postal Service location I've been to. They are truly trained very well & are the most courteous Employees I've had the pleasure to meet. A+++

We called the post office to see when we can arrive to complete passport paperwork for my 2 month old, and we were told we can arrive anytime for us to have the photos completed. We arrived 7 min after (we live close) and where told to come back at 12 because the person who takes photos was not there. So we had to take our baby back home, wait, and then come back. When we came back it took a long while to get everything completed. Im a little irritated because my baby was also fussy needing to come back and get seated into the carseat again. But the lady doing the passport application was very kind helped us through the process.
