I have never experienced this level of unnecessary difficulty at a FedEx location before. The employees at this particular location seem to have a serious case of “gatekeeper syndrome”, they are focusing on creating obstacles rather than actually helping customers.
I shipped a package to my friend’s address, but the package was addressed to me. Since my friend was away on vacation, I chose to pick it up at the FedEx location myself. When I arrived, I was told that my ID did not show the delivery address and therefore they could not release the package to me (though I had tracking number and my cell number was on a package label).
Fine. My friend then came in to pick up the package himself. He showed his valid ID, which matched the delivery address, but the package was in my name. The employee still refused to release it, saying that the recipient’s name and the name on the ID had to match.
He was told to come back the next day and speak with a manager. My friend came back the following day, and, unbelievably, the same male employee again refused to release the package. He eventually had to show his lease agreement just to prove that he lived at the address.
This was completely excessive and unnecessarily difficult. The package had a valid tracking number, the recipient’s name and phone number, and the correct delivery address. There were multiple reasonable ways to verify the situation, yet the employees seemed more interested in finding reasons NOT to release the package.
This is the only FedEx location where I have ever encountered this kind of behavior. I have never had this problem at other locations.
If this is how this particular location chooses to “enforce the rules,” perhaps the employees should focus on the actual purpose of their job, helping customers and providing reasonable solutions instead of creating unnecessary obstacles.
I will never use this location again and will make sure I avoid having packages sent there in the future.

This is the worst customer service I have ever had. The employee Ysel is very rude and would not allow me to print a set up prints because she wanted to close at 8pm, while i arrived before 7pm.

I had an unbelievably upsetting experience today because of the way the staff named Hope treated me. I had initially asked for assistance from a staff member in person, but I was directed to use the kiosk and complete the entire process myself. I tried to get in line, only to find that the line was extremely long. Hope opened a new register. I explained that if I had been assisted in person from the beginning, I would not have had to wait in such a long line. Hope began raising her voice and repeatedly saying, “No, no, no, no.” She then directed me back to the kiosk, she accused me of being disrespectful and yelled at me. She also told me to leave the store and stated that if I did not leave, she would call the police.
