The two women who work up front are so rude. No customer service skills. They seem to be miserable with everyone and nasty. I’m confused how they got hired in the first place. They definitely need to teach these employees how to work with people.

Avoid this location at all costs. Even though this post office is a 5 minute walk from my house, I typically drive 10-15 minutes out of my way to go to another post office in a different town. The other post office on River Road isn't much "better" if you want to call it that. On several occasions I've walked into the Abbot Road office and there are no associates at the counter. They were all in the back talking and laughing while blatantly ignoring the growing line in the lobby. I called the store twice to see if they were actually open. The first time they didn't even answer the phone! There has been an associate who refuses to scan the packages and give a physical receipt. She told me to "take a picture with your phone and that's your tracking proof". NOPE, that's not how that works lady. It seems that the associates are allowed to talk on the phone with their earbuds in while assisting customers in front of them... That's quite unprofessional and has happened at both Fair Lawn locations. This last time that I was at this location, I dropped off 4 packages and they are STILL "in transit" from almost 2 weeks ago, today is July 24th. There's ALWAYS an issue with this location! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

What concerns me is seeing a letter carrier living in his car in the post office parking lot over the past few years. It’s difficult to understand how such a situation could continue without intervention. The Postmaster General isn’t walking to Radburn Liquors every day while in uniform, so it’s disappointing to witness these conditions and apparent lack of oversight at the local level. It’s truly a shame to see what’s been going on at this post office.

This is the worst USPS location I’ve ever used to drop off packages. One of the employees, who I believe was named Maria, was very rude and seemed unwilling to scan my packages. She told me to just leave them, even after I explained that I needed a receipt as proof of acceptance. Instead of helping, she turned around and started doing other tasks while there was a line of customers waiting. Another employee, Talia, ended up assisting me and was at least somewhat helpful, so I appreciate her stepping in. What really bothered me was being asked why I was using the Fair Lawn USPS since I don’t live there. I don’t understand why that’s relevant—this is a public post office, and customers should be able to use any USPS location they choose. Based on my experience, I would not recommend dropping off your packages at this location.

I have been missing very important letters and documents for 2 months. I've registering with USPS to see where this mail is. It was sent, I saw photocopies, but mail never came. I visited the post office twice and was told that to wait and there's nothing they could do and nobody else to talk to. When we were finally able to catch with the postman Pete, it appeared that at some point he has decided that nobody lives in the apartment because the mailbox was full and was returning all of the mail to sender ever since without bothering to notify us. The missing IDs, SSN forms with missed deadlines caused us unbelievable problems. I have never encountered such negligence from USPS before!
