Im not a person who put complent but this time I was realy mad of what happen
Today, Saturday, August 8, 2026, I went to the Carteret Post Office, and unfortunately, I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
I have been living in this area for 28 years, and I have never experienced treatment like this at a post office. When I arrived, I was assisted by an employee named David, who treated me with a very rude and arrogant attitude. First, he gave me excuses about why he did not want to accept my package. Then, he told me that I needed to put tape on my package, so I purchased the tape as he instructed.
What really upset me was that there was another customer behind me whose package was open in the same way as mine. David tell his coworke to provided him with the tape instead of making him purchase it.
I felt that I was treated differently because of my race, and honestly, it was very hurtful and humiliating. What made the experience even worse was that this happened in front of my two young children.
Working with the public does not require a person to be highly educated, but it does require respect, kindness, and professionalism toward everyone, regardless of their race, background, or appearance.
I respectfully ask that the Post Office look into this situation and provide additional training to its employees on how to treat customers with respect, fairness, and professionalism. No customer should leave a public establishment feeling discriminated against or humiliated.
This was truly the worst experience I have ever had at a Post Office, and I hope that management takes my complaint seriously so that other customers do not have to experience the same treatment.

There was a man named Dave there who was unprofessional this morning. I never shipped anything before so I reckoned everything else would be taken cared of but Dave said to me “I’m not trying to be that guy but would you want want mail to be shipped like that?” Made me feel stupid and I tried not to call him out on asking a question that was not needed especially for a first timer and said “well this is my first time can you guide me?” It was disgusting and I think he needs to revisit a training course on how to talk to people that you’ve never seen before. And Dave God bless you.
