This place a negative zero plus plus... The manager is no help to the staff. It's so sad that the post office is one of the horrible place to visit. The lines are all the way out the door and the manager will still not assist the staff. Please Please avoid all the post office if you can.

First time in the post office in Bayonne and there are 12 people on the line. The manager cannot do a clerks job but yet the person who can is struggling with a customer. It’s been more that 30 min wait and the line didn’t move at all. The clerk is still helping the same customer. The manager didn’t even try to help him since it’s not her job.

The manager at this location, Janice (or whoever you spell her name), demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills. During a phone call, she was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted me, and escalated to yelling instead of addressing a straightforward concern. At one point, she placed me on hold without any explanation and left me waiting for an extended period. The situation escalated further when she used inappropriate language and called me an “ass,” which is completely unacceptable behavior for anyone in a customer-facing role, let alone a manager. When I asked to speak with someone else, she responded by saying she was “the manager of the whole building” and that there was no one else available, which came across as both unhelpful and dismissive. My issue was simple: packages are being delivered after business hours, and I was asking what steps could be taken to prevent this. Instead of offering solutions, she gave a vague response about carriers “doing their route in order,” then avoided further discussion by placing me on hold again. After the call ended, I attempted to reach the location multiple times (over 15 calls), and my calls have gone unanswered, which only adds to the frustration and lack of accountability. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any customer-facing role, especially in a managerial position. Customers deserve clear communication, respect, and a willingness to help resolve issues. Based on this experience, it’s evident that significant improvement in professionalism, accountability, and customer service is needed at this location.

The absolute worst post office you will ever visit. Staff couldnt care less. Long lines that move at a snails pace. I brought an open package for return, stood on line for 20 mins and when it was my turn the blue-haired lady said she couldnt take it because it was open. I asked “cant you just tape it?”. Shockingly, she said, “I cant just tape it, but we sell tape and if you wanna buy you’ll have to get on that other line over there”, and pointed me to the next line over with 50 people already on it. I thought she was joking but she was serious. At that point I just walked out. For contrast - ive returned countless things via UPS and they’ve taped close entire boxes for me without asking and without charge. This is a ridiculous way to run a business.
