The clerk, Bernadette, was running behind and then claimed I lacked proper ID—even though I had my passport, Social Security card, and driver’s license. I offered to retrieve anything else needed within 5 minutes and suggested letting the next customer go first. She refused both options and threatened not to see me if I was even a minute late, despite the delay not being my fault. Went to the Monmouth County Clerk immediately after—no issues at all. I was told USPS handled this incorrectly.
