- BLBryan E LacroixMay 4, 20261.0So I am a new resident of Troy, I haven’t even been in the area for a week. I just went to the Troy post office today to pick up my mail because I have to use a PO Box. Where I’m currently living in Troy doesn’t have mailboxes so that’s why I have to use a PO Box. Unfortunately, I’m not the owner of the PO Box, It is under my mother’s name. My mom is in the hospital and she has both sets of keys to access our PO Box. I went to explain the situation that I have to get our mail and that I don’t have access to the PO Box because I don’t have the keys, Since my mom is in the hospital. The woman at the front desk and the postmaster in charge of the Troy post office were extremely rude to me and disrespectful. The way they were treating me it made me feel like I was stupid or retarded . Idid provide my non-drivers license for identity purposes. And it seemed Like they didn’t wanna give me My family’s mail. I’m 100% Dissatisfied. I honestly wish I had a mailbox on where I’m currently living so that I don’t have to go to the post office every time I receive mail. I also feel that It’s not necessary for me to give them a full explanation on why I cannot access my PO Box at the moment. I definitely think it’s none of their business whatsoever. I did ask if I could purchase a key for myself so that I won’t have this issue again, But unfortunately, my mom has to be the one to order it and pay for it since the PO Box is under her name. I’m definitely not happy with the Troy post office. That’s why I’m giving them a one star review hell I would even give them no review, Zero stars. If If this behavior at the post office keeps up, I do plan on sending my mail to a different address, Most likely to a trusted family member. I’m also new to using PO Boxes cause The previous place I lived at had a mailbox on my property so that means I didn’t have to go to the post office daily or whatever I got mail.
