Terrible phone service. I just have a simple question and I spent over 30 minutes talking to stupid AI that won’t let you talk to a real person. A real person could answer very quickly.

I would give 0 stars if I could.
I own a business within an office building. We have a mail slot for our mail for delivery outside of our business hours. If we have outgoing mail we either hang it to out mail carrier or drop it in a blue box.
My office was closed on pay day, so in order for employees to get their pay checks, I taped them on my office door at eye level for easy access. There were NO STAMPS on any envelope.
Abiut an hour after I left the checks, my office on call started getting calls from employees demanding their checks saying their are no checks.
The mail carrier took every paycheck.
I attempted to find the mail carrier in the building and deiving the neighborhood to retrieve the checks but he had moved onto another location and I never located him.
I called the 888 number for USPS and logged a complaint and asked to be connected to my local office so that they could get in touch with the mail carrier and ask them to bring the checks back.
I called the post office, no one picked up the phone. In fact, I let the phone ring so long, it timed out. I hung up and called over and over. I let the phone ring for 20 full minutes and noone ever picked up the phone.
I had to pay for stop payments on the checks that the mail carrier took.
I had to hand write all new checks.
I had to deal with many upset employees-and rightfully so.
When I talked to the mail carrier the next business day he said "I should really start paying more attention" And also that "I could have sworn there were stamps on those envelopes"
No apologies, no attempt to make anything right. He was totally nonchalant and had no care in the world.
I still do not have the checks back and told my mail carrier that I would not be paying for missing postage due to his mistake.
He had absolutely no concern with anything. His blatant lack of care and concern is evident at all levels of the USPS as no one answers the phone, nor has anyone followed up on my complaint that was made 4 business days ago.
I would love to hear how our tax dollars and postage monies are being spent as obviously they do not answer their phone, follow-up on complaints, and there is no repercussions nor accountability for mistakes they make.

This location is a joke, the employees are incompetent as can be. Glad I moved across town and can’t even go to my local USPS because they can’t get anything figured out. This location is a great use of tax dollars
