  I wanted to take a moment to share the outstanding experience I had working with Luke Strawhecker and Nate Elgert at The Reserves Network. Anyone who has spent time in the workforce knows the typical recruiter experience: someone reaches out after a quick LinkedIn search, with limited understanding of your background, little insight into whether the role is actually a fit, and a pitch that can feel more like a cold call than a thoughtful conversation. Luke and Nate were different from the very first conversation. It was clear they had done their homework. They understood my background, knew the company and role inside and out, and were able to clearly explain why they believed the opportunity could be a strong fit for me — not just why I might be a fit for the role. Throughout the process, they took the time to understand what I was truly looking for in my next opportunity. They stayed in regular communication, kept me updated on where things stood, and consistently checked in to see if I had any questions, concerns, or hesitations. My situation was a bit unique because I needed to provide my then-current company with a couple of months’ notice to help see several projects through. Luke and Nate understood that immediately and communicated it well throughout the process. They recognized that while the timing may not have been ideal for the hiring company, it reflected a level of professional courtesy and commitment that mattered to me. When it came time to negotiate, they were extremely responsive, advocated on my behalf, and even helped get everything finalized over the weekend. I could not be happier with my current role and company. Luke and Nate truly took the time to make sure the opportunity was a mutually beneficial fit, and that made all the difference. I would highly recommend working with them and The Reserves Network.
