- KHKim HeyeJul 17, 20261.0My daughter mailed me a birthday card 11 days prior. 7-7-26 for hopes of it arriving by 7-15-26. She went in to her post office in Dallas Tx to verify postage and she used 2 Forever stamps as they requested. On July 16 I get a notice I owed .34 cents. After calling my post office to verify where the envelope is the man tells me I could have left the money in my mailbox. I go to the post office and pay and ask where on that slip notice does it say you can put money in your box. I get from the associate that you can get little envelopes from the post office for this purpose. Gee, I bet everyone has these laying around. I went to my car and looked closely at the postage. That’s when I got pissed. I went back in and wound up getting the other associate and when I made it clear I wanted explanation of why 2 Forever stamps wasn’t enough of which this young man was picking his nose and wiped his finger on his shirt ) then picked up my envelope , GROSS, and tried to tell me ‘ the only thing I can figure out is that the envelope is not very pliable. What, What. It was pliable enough for the sending post offing. So that means it was the receiving post office who wanted the fee. Hmmmmmm. I looked him in the eye and said-‘ this is BS, I mean BS. Sad when you can’t get your birthday card on time because someone picked it up and decided it wasn’t pliable. Our Postal Service needs to take United States off their title because it doesn’t act like United States Postal Service any more.
