- GMGavin McHenryJul 2, 20261.0The worst part office I've ever experienced, lost a very expensive package. Had it re shipped, they tell me a delivery attempt was made while I was at work and I needed to come in and pick it up. Come in to pick it up and low and behold it's not here..........

Trying to mail a package here again today at 1:50,… metal doors were closed “out to lunch”, came back at 3:52 with the metal doors still close and only accepting prepaid packages… no other services. There were three employees with eight people standing in line when aunt Jemima sticks her head out and says they have to close early because no one took a lunch today. Place is a joke. 6/18/26: This place must be individually Operated,… No way it’s regulated. If an employee needs to step out, simply close the doors. I don’t know any other post office that closes for “lunch” at different hours when you have multiple employees. Who closes Half a day early for Juneteenth? What other post office traditionally closes at 4 o’clock? Also God forbid you’re treated with any civility… They act like every customer is a burden.

When I got to the counter, the lady was personable, patient and helpful as I figured out the labels and shipment options. Surprising shocked and kudos to her for the positive experience.

I'm trying to pick up my mail because they stopped delivering to my neighborhood mail boxes and posted signs to pickup at this post office. When i tried to speak to someone to pick up mail the post office gate was closed. No indication that the post office was closed on a Friday at 3pm.

Greeted her kindly and spoke to her softly about needing a receipt for a box labeled ready for shipment she just threw it on the table and said I can’t scan this nor give you a receipt. I just grabbed my box and took it to downtown Raleigh where they treat you more friendly.
