  Garbage service, plus their phone # doesn’t even work. Shipping is so late and disappointing I do not recommend

  If you’re planning to ship something internationally, I would strongly suggest doing your research before choosing DHL. My recent experience was extremely disappointing and far more expensive than I was led to expect. I recently shipped a package containing garments for personal use from India to the USA. The package weighed less than 5 kg/11 lb, and the total value of the items was approximately $210. I was charged around $260 just for shipping. At the time of final payment, I was told that I might have to pay an additional $8–$10 in U.S. customs duty. However, I actually ended up paying $82 in customs charges. Altogether, my shipping and customs costs came to roughly INR $344 for items worth only about $210. That is incredibly expensive. What makes this even more frustrating is that just a couple of weeks earlier, one of my friends shipped a larger package with more items, valued at over $210, from India to the USA. He paid approximately $125 for shipping and only around $20 in customs duty. His package was also delivered in less than a week. We BOTH used the same shipping company. Based on my experience, the pricing and information provided to me were completely out of line with what I expected. I ended up paying significantly more than anticipated, especially after being given a very different estimate for the customs charges. I would strongly recommend comparing prices, customs expectations, and other international courier options before using this service. Stay away from DHL

  Pamela at this DHL office is amazing! I am sending prescription medications to my mom in India, and Pamela called me and let me know that I needed to have the prescription from the doctor to include with the package before they can send it out. She was so nice and efficient and it was a joy to do business with her. I highly recommend this DHL location!!

  Package was attempted to be delivered on Thursday, but “could not be delivered due to no signer”. A note was left on my door saying delivery would be attempted later. I did not request and did not know I needed to sign for this, but stayed home the next day and scheduled delivery so I could sign. Tracking has been stuck “on hold”, and several calls later still no idea what that means. After 3 calls, finally had a rep call this facility and updated me that delivery would be done that day. Not an hour later the status was updated to “out for delivery” then immediately marked “undeliverable to address being non-existent” They clearly just marked this delivery as “attempted” to save their own delivery time statistics, and the time stamps were alerted to before I even called the first time! After calling AGAIN to provide the SAME address that was *somehow* found the previous day, was told only recourse was to wait another 3 days to schedule another delivery and take ANOTHER day off work since they can’t waive the signature. Escalated to supervisor who was rude and rushed me off the phone and entirely unhelpful. Package still has no new delivery date and still says I need to reach out and update. No package and no idea when I’ll receive it, with no help or support other than just “wait”
