  I ordered school uniforms for both of my girls (a kindergartener and a 2nd grader) from Children’s Place because none of their locations are close to my home. I’ve been ordering from them for the past two years and have never had any issues with UPS delivering my packages. This time, however, the shipment was changed to USPS and was delivered through the Monroe, NC 28110 location. I received a notification that the uniforms had been delivered, but when I checked the package, I realized that almost everything had been stolen except for one shirt.(I guess to show delivered) The package had clearly been opened and then taped back up, which makes me believe it may have been opened either in the sorting facility in Monroe or by the person delivering it. Approximately $200 worth of my daughters’ school uniforms were stolen. I’ve never experienced anything like this with UPS over the past two years, so I’m extremely disappointed and concerned that this happened after the shipment was switched to USPS. Did it ever occur to the person who stole the uniforms that I may not have the extra money to replace them? or that, even if I'm able to get a refund, it may not come back in time for me to reorder everything before school starts? It's incredibly frustrating to have to deal with this, especially so close to the start of the school year.

  Today, I witnessed appalling behavior from an employee who laughed at a woman for mispronouncing a word due to a single letter; once she turned her back, he made a comment while laughing at her. How can such disrespectful people work with the public? He should know that this behavior speaks volumes about *him*, not the woman with the accent... it’s unacceptable.

  with long waits for passport services the counter agent suggested the Monroe Co Gov'nt center, walk right in and recieve passport services, excellent !!

  I’m not sure what’s happened with this post office recently. It used to be very convenient to drop off prepaid packages after hours because the drop bin was always emptied before the office closed. Even on Saturdays, around 1–3 PM, there was still plenty of space. Now it seems like the drop bin is often left completely full when the office closes. Today is Saturday, the post office closed at 11:00 AM, and by 1:00 PM the bin was already completely full, making it impossible to drop off packages. For small business owners who ship regularly, this is very frustrating. Could the drop bin please be emptied before the staff leaves for the day so customers can continue using the after-hours drop-off? It would make a big difference.
