This post office has been extremely frustrating to deal with. The supervisor has been rude and unprofessional toward me on multiple occasions, and I have already called and submitted several complaints regarding the situation.
For the past FOUR MONTHS, I have been forced to pick up my mail because I paid to have my locks changed and the issue still has not been resolved. Every time I inquire about it, I’m told that there is only one person in all of Hickory who is able to change the locks, and apparently that person has been out of work. If that is truly the case, then this sounds like a staffing and training issue that needs to be addressed.
Customers should not have to go without regular mail delivery for months because there is supposedly only one employee capable of performing a basic service. I have important mail that I am waiting on, and I do not have the ability to drive to the Hickory post office every single day just to retrieve my mail.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is the way I have been treated when attempting to get answers. I understand that employees may be dealing with their own frustrations, but that does not excuse being disrespectful or argumentative with customers. A supervisor should be able to communicate professionally and help resolve customer concerns rather than escalate them.
I have been patient for four months. At this point, I am going to continue submitting complaints and contacting the appropriate people until this issue is actually resolved. I paid for this service, and I simply expect to receive the mail delivery service I am supposed to be receiving.
This situation needs to be handled, and the customer service and management at this location seriously need improvement.

Went here after lunch about 1:30pm and yes, it was typical bad USPS service. There was one clerk and a long line of people waiting for assistance. The body language and actual language of the employee made it apparent she wanted to be anywhere but at the USPS. Retail space is also just really tired looking, pens on counters missing or broken. It's all just rather sad.
