went to get my passport for the first time. the two ladies at the front desk were so sweet and funny! they were joking with each other and other customers in the front office the entire time i was there and even got me early for my appointment. they made the process super easy! definitely recommend this post office over the elon one. i love elon, but the post office there is subpar in their standards. this one is SO lovely!

My first visit was a very pleasant one. Everyone was so polite and helpful. I felt they went above and beyond to help me pick up a package and it was much appreciated. Thank you.

The truth of the negative reviews is that this office is simply too small to accommodate the area it covers. This building was built when Gibsonville was mostly dirt roads, and long before they were paved. It was built before Amazon even existed, let alone the internet and TV shopping.
The government has been trying to squeeze blood from a stone for decades. Keeping staff and buildings as small as possible. Refusing to spend on even the most paltry expenses such as working equipment and labor. Cut hours, longer but fewer routes, putting all the work on what are the most inexperienced and newest employees.
And no, this isn't about COVID or the current political issues. This has been happening for decades. It's not new and it will only get worse. The only solution is for the people of Gibsonville to stop voting for people who want to defund the services you rely on. So many of you require medications you only get through the mail. You need to be able to mail packages for your businesses. Yet I bet most of you vote and support cutting money to every public good that exists in the name of getting some tax break you never see.
And you somehow think turning into a private company is better? It's not profitable to deliver mail in Gibsonville. You people don't mail enough stuff and aren't populous enough to even matter to a national private mailing/shipping business. That's why UPS and FedEx drop off your packages at the post office for delivery. If the USPS goes private, you will have to drive to Burlington to get your medications and ship your packages. Your mail has always been subsidized by the government. That's just the truth. But hey, keep blaming the overworked postal carriers and staff. They're definitely the ones in charge.
Final food for thought: think about all the elderly in Gibsonville (aka most of you) who can't drive to a polling station. Good luck getting your ballots mailed in November after the people you voted for in 2016 and 2018 put a halt on your mail. Better make the hike up and down the hill to the elementary school.

Gibsonville post office is a joke! What that can't stuff in my mailbox they leave it laying on the ground! North Carolina law states if packages doesn't fit in mailbox it is to be left at the door not laying at the road to be stolen!!!!!!
