I had a pretty rough experience at the Arden NC location, store number 5644. I ordered something from fanatics that came defective and I had been given a return label to return it to them for a replacement. Anyway, I went to the counter and told Chasity, not sure how you spell it, that I had a return label and she said I'd have to email it to them. When I asked the for email address she rudely and bluntly just pointed at the email address that was located on the counter. My girlfriend suggested I bubble wrap the item first, so I said we are gonna bubble wrap it real quick, and we stepped aside, grabbed a roll of wrap and went to the island counter top in the middle of the lobby. There was another couple there taking up minimal space on the counter, but they were mainly just leaning and looking at something on their phone. We politely asked if they minded if we used the other half of the counter and they didn't seem to mind at all. We weren't trying to be rude or impede on anyone else at all. When we began to try and bubble wrap the item she loudly scolded us and said "you need to take that outside you can't do that in here. We have other people in here trying to do stuff and we can't have you doing that in here." It was very loud and rude, and we felt like scolded toddlers. It was extremely embarrassing as everyone else stared at us. I assume she wanted us to take bubble wrap that we hadn't even paid for out and wrap the item on the sidewalk as she immediately went back to helping the person at the counter. I've since read that UPS will do it for you in store, but we weren't offered any such help or service. We don't know how things work there, and we truly weren't trying to be rude or take up space and impede other customers. I apologized to the other customers that were at the counter first, put the bubble wrap back and left. We were given no info, guidance, or assistance on how to handle things at a UPS store and were made to look like idiots instead. Not sure what the island countertop is for if not to package things. I guess that's what the sidewalk outside is for. My girlfriend has had a rough week and was brought near to tears after we left, it was so rude and embarrassing. Anyway, I don't normally call people out like this as I know customer facing jobs can be stressful. I know from 10 years of experience. But this service was exceptionally bad. She said her name is Chasity, again not sure hot to spell it, but she's but she's blonde with tattoos. Thanks for listening.
I have since read Google reviews with issues regarding what is most likely the same employee.

My boyfriend and I went in today and experienced such horrible service that we left without shipping our package. We don’t do a lot of shipping and needed to bubble wrap our item before packing it. We were offered no assistance with this so we took some bubble wrap available for sale in the store and went to the designated package preparation island in the middle of the store. The blonde woman with visible tattoos scolded us loudly in front of the whole store and told us that that was not what that area was for and that we had to leave the store to package our item and bring it back in. What is a packing and shipping store for if not to pack your item and prepare it for shipping? We were so confused and embarrassed that we put the bubble wrap back and left. We will not be coming back.

Excelente servicio los mejores aqui en Arden
Wow, the service was horrible. I asked if there was somewhere to throw away my trash, and they told me, “Unfortunately not, that would make life easier and we don’t do that. AT&T doesn’t like doing that.” I honestly thought I heard her wrong, so I asked her to repeat it, and she said the same thing again. The attitude and response were very unprofessional.

Very disappointing experience at this UPS Store. I brought my package already packed, sealed, and ready to ship in my own small Walmart box. Despite that, I was charged for packing materials and packing services that I never requested and did not need.
What made the experience even worse was the customer service. The female employee with visible tattoos who assisted me was unfriendly, dismissive, and acted as though helping customers was an inconvenience. When you’re paying over $100 for a shipment, you expect at least basic professionalism and courtesy.
After reviewing my receipt, I found charges for an 18x18x18 box and packing service even though I brought my own sealed package. The shipping paperwork also shows measurements and a billable weight that raise serious questions about the accuracy of the transaction.
Customers should carefully review their receipts before leaving. Between the questionable charges and the poor attitude I encountered, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a UPS Store. I will not be returning unless this issue is properly addressed.
