Over the past ten years I’ve purchased items from every continent and countless different countries and I’ve never had a problem until they reach Jackson Mississippi aka The Mail Black Hole Of Nincompoops. This literally makes Jackson Mississippi the worst postal distributor on the entire planet!! In the past two weeks alone they have sent 4 different packages to multiple wrong locations, received them back and sent them to the wrong location again, up to four times on one package. I guess with Jackson being the terrible place it is, a once beautiful nice city run in the ground by the usual suspects I shouldn’t even be surprised anymore.

This is the THIRD time that I have ordered a package and once it hits this distribution center, it gets thrown in a pile or something and neglected for WEEKS. I always use 2 day Express Priority, and everything is fine and dandy until it hits this location. I currently have a package just sitting there, not moving, that was supposed to be delivered last week. I even talked to the postmaster himself and all he could say was "uhhhh it was supposed to be delivered on the 7th, it should get there in a few days." BS. It still hasn't moved. This entire facility needs to be cleaned up from the bottom. This is 100% a case of employees just not caring at all about their job or peoples' property. Every single one of them needs to be fired. I don't expect anything less from freakin' Jackson, MS. Keep setting such an awful example for our city.

Is this what Jackson taxpayers are paying for? This is my primary post office, and I ship an average of 40–150+ packages per month through this facility. My customers consistently remark on how fast and reliable Ground Advantage shipping is—even to states like California, Washington, and Oregon. Unfortunately, the conditions surrounding this location have become unacceptable. Several individuals experiencing homelessness have begun using the exterior and interior areas of this high-traffic postal facility as a place to loiter, store belongings, and engage in unsanitary behavior. The presence of trash, carts, bags, and personal items has created a serious cleanliness, safety, and security concern for both customers and postal employees. There have been repeated instances of strong odors, including urine, both inside and outside the building. Individuals regularly beg for money and occupy common areas, making the facility unwelcoming and unsightly. This is the largest and busiest mailing center in the state, and it should be maintained accordingly. I want to be clear that this is not a criticism of the postal employees—they are clearly overworked, underpaid, and continue to provide excellent service under difficult circumstances. However, this situation requires intervention. If Capitol Police or another authority has jurisdiction over this area, their presence is needed. This property should be kept clean, safe, and accessible for the public and for the employees who work there daily. Jackson taxpayers deserve better conditions than what is currently being allowed at this facility. I strongly urge city and state officials to address this matter promptly.
