Due to their inability to properly deliver my mail I missed getting important legal documents and am on the verge of losing my military home my dad bought in 1979. I am disabled and on SSI. I will be homeless.

There's a young Asian guy who delivers mail in my neighborhood. I don't know his name, but he's small build and skinny. I've been seeing him around a lot in my neighborhood for the past few months delivering mail. Never talked nor interacted with him until today. I live in a small apartment in the frogtown neighborhood. Our names and units are clearly written in front of the mailbox. He has been putting my neighbor's mail in my mailbox several times now. If this was just a one time incident, it's fine. But how could he make this mistake again and again when our names are clearly written on our unit mailboxes? I don't keep track of how many times he's done this, but if I had to guess at least 4-5 times now. The thing is if we are courteous to one another as fellow tenants, we would simply slide the mail under their door so that it goes to the right people. I've had to do this several times over the past few months. Does it happen all the time? No, but it has happened enough times to be annoying. Not everyone is courteous. What if I'm waiting for important documents in the mail only to have it be put in the wrong mailbox and that person decides to just throw it in the trash because they're not the intended recipient? Some people just don't care. This is why it's important to put the correct mail in the correct mailbox. I never wanted to say anything because I thought it might just be a one or two time incident. It happened again this morning. I opened my mailbox and found my neighbor's mail. Usually I would just slip it under her door or put it on the side of her door, but I decided that today is the day I finally say something to this mail carrier. If I don't say anything, this will continue. His van is parked in front of my building. I was waiting for him to finish his rounds. When I finally spotted him, I said excuse me you've been putting the wrong mail in our mailbox several times now. Instead of simply acknowledging his mistake, he went into defense mode and gave me a bit of attitude. I wasn't even rude to him. He got defensive and said he's our regular mailman and he's been a mailman for the past 10 years and he knows what he's doing. If that's true, then how the heck did he make so many mistakes when our names and units are clearly written on the mailbox? He said mistakes happen. Right. Mistakes do happen, but not over and over and over again. Supposed to learn from the first time. If he would've just simply acknowledged his mistake without giving me attitude, I would've just left it at that. But I didn't appreciate the tone he used on me. He begrudgingly thanked me at the end of our convo for telling him to be extra careful next time. So whatever his name is, just please do better next time. It's really not that hard and I don't believe I'm asking for too much. And don't have attitude when you're in the wrong. I simply pointed out his mistake and to be careful next time. I was angry at his tone so I decided to make a complaint about him by googling the post office he works at. I called this 1-800 number too. I tried calling the post office on Arlington Ave in St Paul, but it kept ringing and ringing and no one answered. So I decided to just go over there to speak with a manager. I told him exactly what happened. He had me fill out a hazard card. I briefly wrote down and described the situation that happened earlier today. So hopefully this issue gets resolved one way or another. I'm not trying to be rude or get anyone in trouble, but enough is enough. This mailman in particular needs to do his job better by making sure he puts the correct mail in the correct mailbox and to not give attitude to people when we're just simply pointing out his mistake.

Great Post Office .. staff kind and considerate. Parking lot easy access. I rent a postal box because someone ripped off my mailbox off my house 3 years ago. The PO suggested I rent a box. Now my mail is secure. I rent the smallest box. It holds lots of mail and I pick it up every week or later.

This location needs a better system and better-trained employees. I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with my mail forwarding for an entire year, and it’s still not fixed. Every time I went in, I was told something different. Every person had a different attitude and a different explanation. I followed every step they told me to do, yet my mail still isn’t arriving consistently. Some pieces get delivered, some get held, and some get sent back. Even our regular mail carrier wasn’t helpful. She was down talking her co-workers at the branch and said they're even good at their job. Instead of assisting, she insisted I wasn’t on on lease and claimed she had access to it, which felt completely inappropriate and unprofessional. She even suggested calling my property manager for me. I’m the tenant — I decide what mail comes to my address. There is nothing in my lease that restricts who can receive mail at my residence. Overall, the lack of consistency, professionalism, and accountability has been extremely frustrating. This issue should not take a year to resolve.
