  Live animals delayed once, then after an updated delivery time... still didn't make it since the package apparently had to sit for 24 hours 5 miles away, and now they won't make it until Monday. Trash.

  They failed at the one reason for their existence. Passing through the area, so I had something shipped to the post office on W 1st St. Since they don't take General Delivery (which I didn't know of course), they sent it to "the plant", meaning this Michigan St post office, which I found out is the only one in Duluth that accepts General Delivery. Long story short, since they were too ignorant to realize that being addressed to my name at "US Post Office", followed by their address, meant that it was supposed to go there, they sent it back to the sender. At first, they couldn't tell me where it was or what happened to it. Finally, they told me to go online and request a "Package intercept", which I learned the hard way was not available for my package.

  I tried to get something mailed to the house they didn't deliver to my house or through their system to get to my house. It got to the closest post office, which is 2 or 3 blocks away they said they couldn't access my house even though there's no gate, no lock anywhere on the house we have other packages from other people.In the house, getting here fine Why is it only my and now, without my permission, they're sending the packages that were sent here from overseas.All the way back to the sender when it was just 3 blocks away and they did it all without my permission i don't even know if I get a refund or not And gosh forbid I can talk to a human when I need help with something i would rate this negative ten for every location.My area if UPS can get reach out to me somehow when I can talk to somebody and not deliver my package across the ocean at a time when it says the thing is closed, but it's clearly not when they can send a package all the way across the ocean. And contact me about my package, then I would change my rating and review on all the locations nearby

  A lot of negativity in these reviews, so I figured I would share my good experiences. I have lived in Duluth for the last 8 years and have only had good interactions with our local USPS. The staff are always friendly and patient, explaining my options. The few times a package has been lost I was able to call and have it found within a day. They have on multiple occasions allowed me to pick up packages at the distribution center should they not be delivered on time if I am leaving for a weekend. I have also had problems with mail addressed to me having either typos or a damaged label, and my local mail carrier will knock on my door and ask if it is my package as they recognize my name. Always a great experience with USPS and I hope they continue the above and beyond work!
