    I am extremely disappointed with the service at this post office. On May 4th, before 6 PM, I went to this post office to send international letters. I bought stamps there and specifically asked the staff how to write the addresses on the envelopes. However, the staff never explained that my address should be written in the upper left corner and the recipient’s address in the lower right corner. As a result, all of my letters were returned a few days later. Then yesterday around 5 PM, I went back to the post office again, and a female employee told me that the way I wrote the addresses was incorrect. I explained that I had already asked for instructions during my previous visit, and that this situation happened because the employee at that time failed to explain the proper format. I told her that I would rewrite the envelopes, but requested new envelopes and stamps because this mistake was caused by your staff’s lack of explanation. However, she refused, and I was forced to pay nearly another $20. This is absolutely ridiculous. If there are strict rules for how addresses must be written so that machines can read them correctly, then those instructions should be clearly displayed and properly explained to customers. Also, it makes no sense that envelopes and stamps become unusable just because the address format was slightly different. I used international stamps and clearly wrote “JAPAN” in large letters. Could the postal workers really not recognize the destination? I am requesting a refund for the envelopes and postage costs.

    Not only the worst post office I've ever been to, but quite possibly one of the worst places I've ever been to in my life. Absolutely abhorrent. The level of incompetence and rudeness is truly unbelievable.

    Absolutely the worst experience dealing with the postmaster! For some reason I ordered checks and they were supposed to be delivered to my box and not my home. The new mail carrier delivered all my mail including my packages which included my checks to the wrong box! I live in a community where all the mail boxes are in the same spot. When I asked the postmaster to please type up a request letter for whoever received my mail to return it to the post office or our clubhouse or just to my house because it all has the correct address and information on it, I was told it was in their policy that they could not do that. When I asked where in the policy does it say that, and I asked for the supervisor above him name and phone number, he refused to give it to me. There's a high standard we hold the post office to that clearly the Wixom post office does not adhere to! After 25 years of having the same banking information, now I have to change it all including my 10 automobile withdrawals and deposits and open a new account! Lesson learned when ordering checks make sure they send them for sign delivery! Because clearly you cannot rely on the United States Postal Service in Wixom to do their job or try to rectify the situation!

    Lazy mail delivery- why in the world would someone put a “do not bend” envelope full of photos in a mailbox that it doesn’t fit in? Photos are destroyed from being bent up. Just pure laziness - couldn’t take two minutes to actually deliver to the door rather than cramming it in a box.
